This beautiful bone Arabic prayer beads engraved in various stones in contrasting colors is composed of 99 beads in drum shape. The bead size measures 11 x 13 mm, 34 cm in length, and weighs 57.95 grams. The Shaheed is made up of bone while the Karkousha is made of silver.
Bone was one of the first thing that early humans used for as ornaments. Most modern bone beads are made from cow or sheep or camel bones and are a byproduct of the food industry. Today, most of these bone beads comes from Indonesia where they are made by hand in small factories and private homes.
